Windy spring and start to summer!

Windy spring and start to summer!

When the wind stops blowing fishing is insane!
The wind this November and December has been shocking and it feels like we have canceled more days then we have been out fishing. Once we have been getting offshore the fishing has been great.
End of October and start of November live baits have been doing the damage but as soon as the water temp came up a couple of degrees the jigs have been getting all the bigger fish on the deeper pins. Hapuka, snapper and good numbers of kingfish have been hitting the decks. December saw us testing new prototype rods for Shimano with great success and we are very excited to see these new model rods hit our shore next year. We also Took Adam Clancey from the fishing show out for a days filming and catch a nice Kingfish in some tricky terrain which should make for an entertaining show.
Not long now before the first marlin is caught, the water temp has been rising very slowly and we are so hanging out for those marlins to make it back to the Mokohinau islands this season.
